San Francisco Sanctuary

This classic 1-bedroom flat is equal parts serene and feminine. We gravitated toward neutrals to maximize the natural light coming into the space, while layering in a variety of textures to add character and dimension. The key to furnishing this place was studying the long narrow layout and figuring out how to best configure pieces to enhance the energetic flow and keep the space feeling open. We grounded the living room by placing the heavier furnishings on opposite sides of the room, with a glass coffee table in the middle to keep it feeling balanced. Hints of greenery throughout help invite the outdoors in, and the subtle collection of art adds visual interest without cluttering the walls.
